Charlotte NC Aerial View

Aerial View Of Charlotte NC

Charlotte NC is a beautiful City and the people who live in it are mostly friendly caring people known for their Southern Hospitality and Charm. The City boasts a number of amazing parks and green areas even in the city center. There are many street cafe's and public table and seating where office workers can take time out to get outdoors and enjoy lunch or a coffee under the shade of the trees on a hot summers day.

With so much to be grateful for at this time of Thanksgiving, I thought it would be appropriate to share this magnificent video with you of our Queen City. This beautiful aerial videos filmed with the use of a drone will give you a good view of the Queen City. Thank you to Mike from Apex Photo Video for this stunning video.

Dressing Your Home to Sell in The Holiday Season

Are You Selling Your Home In the Holiday Season?

There is nothing more warming than going into a home that is tastefully decorated for the Holiday Season. It just sets the mood for a happy and wonderful showing and if the home looks inviting and the theme carries through, it can be a winning combination.

Here are a few do's and don'ts for holiday decorating.

  • Put up your huge big christmas tree if your home has the space and its not going to be too cramped and make your home look pokey and small.
  • If you have a smaller space, buy elegant table top christmas trees that add the ambience without taking up extra floor space
  • Keep a constant theme through your home and avoid gaudy colors that will clash with your decor
  • Pack away your existing scatter cushions and replace with complementary season colored scatter cushions and a chair drape can adding holiday cheer to a room
  • Add a touch of holidays to your bathrooms with appropriately colored hand towels and crystal drop strand ornaments or candles
  • If you have a wood fireplace, consider filling the grate with candles that can be lit and give you a warming effect without the smoky smell from a dirty grate
  • Ornaments and candles are welcome without creating too much clutter

Decorating On the Outside of the Home

  • Avoid air filled figurines in the garden
  • Choose tasteful single color lights to highlight your entrance
  • Definitely have a welcome wreath if your door needs cheering up
  • Pre-lit entry way trees at the entrance are a wonderful accent
  • Greenery at the front door is always welcome

Holidays are a wonderful time - enjoy your home and your friends, family and guests. Buyers are definitely more accepting and often get into the spirit of the season. The holiday season can be a great time to sell. Buyers are generally more serious about purchasing and one can often sell your home more quickly because their is less inventory therefore less competition.

If you are considering selling your home give me a call and lets discuss your options. I would love to assist you with your home sale.

Do People Buy Homes In the Winter Months?

Winter is Coming, Should You Sell Your Home?

When considering your options about selling your home you may be waiting for the spring before you put your property on the market. Is that a good decision? Lets talk about it.

  • In the winter months there are often fewer properties on the market and because there are fewer homes on the market, the seller is sometimes rewarded with a great price and a home sold in record timing.

  • Peoples circumstances change 365 days a year, not just in the Spring and Summer and because of that, there are a constant stream of buyers the whole year through, so you do not have to wait for the Spring to sell your home

  • If your home is not on the market it cannot get sold.

  • Maybe you don't want to have your property on the market during the holidays because of family and friends visiting. If that is the case, you could always tell your agent to exclude particular holiday dates to suit you.

  • People shopping in the winter are generally more serious buyers

The right time to sell the property is ultimately up to you. When is it the right time for you?

  • If the home has been on the market for a while, maybe it would be a good time to withdraw the home from the market from Thanksgiving and through the Christmas Season until early in January and put it on the market again with a new marketing plan.

  • If your home shows better in the warmer months, perhaps chat to your agent - the agent may suggest a little staging and lighting to suit the winter season and that could change your mind.

When you are ready to sell your home, I am here to assist you. If you are sitting on the fence and not clear what to do, please give me a call for a confidential chat about the current market conditions.
